The much-rumored and even more longed-for update to the Nikon D80 has arrived. Or will, in a couple of weeks. The Nikon D90 doesn’t replace the popular D80, which moves down Nikon’s dSLR product line,
and unsurprisingly, provides some significant enhancements over that 2-year-old model. Most notably, the D90 is the first digital SLR to support movie capture.
Though its movie-capture specs aren’t too shabby–24fps 1280×720 motion JPEG and support for VR optical image-stabilization if the lens has it–D-Movie still doesn’t match the best of the snapshot-camera movie modes. READ MORE

When it comes to famous images the Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most recognized in the world. The Mona Lisa has been at the center of much debate and speculation over the years but why is it an image that intrigues people so much and what can we learn from it as photographers today?

While we live in a different time (the Mona Lisa was painted in the 1500s) and use different technology - is there something in this famous image that we can be inspired by as image makers today?

Even fashion stuff now goes eco-friendly. One of them, The Ray from Quicksilver, a watch which is hand-crafted from real ebony wood sourced from sustainable managed forests. The Ray is produced in limited quantities; only 1000 of them were produced.
It features stainless steel and brass automatic movement, a non-traditional clock face, and components made from 100% recyclable anti-allergy stainless steel, aluminum, and mineral crystal.
It takes some time for me to understand the clock movement. No words on pricing.

This is the City, Honda’s latest City, which is going to hit Asian countries. It is powered a by 120-horse 1.5-liter four cylinder i-VTEC engine, which found in Fit and Jazz models and mated with an automatic transmission.
As for my view, I will give a thumb up for the front but for the back, i will says it’s a bit squarish and the design looks like the Toyota Vios 2nd gen. More pictures after the break.

Psst! Got an overdue library book? Didn’t think that they could do anything about it? Well, think again - Heidi Dalibor of Grafton, Wisconsin, just got arrested for failing to return books she checked out from a library:
Heidi Dalibor was arrested after she failed to return the books, “Angels and Demons” and “White Oleander”, last year.
“I said, what could they possibly do? They can’t arrest me for this… I was wrong,” Dalibor said.
Dalibor did not respond to four notices from the library, two phone calls and two letters. The library forwarded the case to police, who issued a citation for Dalibor’s failure to return the materials or pay the fine. The citation included a court date, which Dalibor admits she ignored.
With arrest warrant in hand, police showed up at Dalibor’s door and led her away in handcuffs.
And find out why she’s still not returning the books: Link

Here’s a common scene—but still impressive—at the Beijing Olympics: dozens of photographers firing the most expensive digital photography gear available on the planet at full speed. The sound of all those shutters re-clacky-clicketing alone must give goosebumps to any photo aficionado, but the total price of all this machinery would actually make anyone faint. How much does this all cost?

The Freestyle Dirtsurfer($450) is faster than a skateboard and balance it like a bike. The bike skateboard? To control speed, the brake is a simple lever-activated disk brake mounted on the rear wheel. Just nudge the brake bar with your leg by leaning towards the rear for progressive, powerful braking. Cool see from the pictures.
