From Functionality To Fantasy

Computer mouses have come a long way since they made their wooden box debut about 40 years ago, and now there are literally countless shapes, designs, and features for every type of computer user.

The mouse, an accessory that grew out of a purely functional need for pinpointing and clicking on the computer screen, has now developed into a highly personalized piece of gear with different technical
variations, depending on the primary use. Here is a look at the metamorphosis of the computer mouse over time.

After The Crisis: A Parody Of 15 Corporate Logos

The 2008 crash is probably the most serious economic crisis we have faced after the Great Depression. Stock markets from around the world fell as much as 20% in a single week, dozens of banks either failed or were rescued by government and private institutions, and companies started laying off employees as a consequence of the reduced demand.

One day, better times will be here again but until then, cheer up a little by looking at some company logos… after the crisis.

Your Debut Album

Here’s something funny to do when you’re bored.

1 - Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random.
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3.
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. If you want to do this again, hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again.

3 - Go to Flickr’s ‘explore the last seven days’:
http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/.
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Put it all together, that’s your debut album.

Here’s my debut album:

My band: Bat Hawk,
My album: Take a Long Run,
My album cover:

Sleep Safe Tape

Sleep Safe Tape is a roll of standard transparent tape that has pictures of an eye printed along the length of the tape. Many situations exist where it is taboo to sleep despite the natural inclination of humans to rest their tired eyes.

With Sleep Safe Tape, users can get the shuteye they need while appearing to be wide-awake.

Porsche I Can

Wouldn’t you like to have a Porsche in your driveway? Now you can. At least, you can show a photo of a Porsche in your driveway and send it to friends and family to make them envy you.

Just take a picture of your driveway and upload it to Porsche I Can.
A 4 mega-pixel or higher will provide an optimal image but it has to be under 4 megabytes. Then select a car, and adjust the scene.

Here’s my Porsche.

Florian Jennett Cardboard Corolla

Awesome, nice work! If you can afford a sports car, this is what you can do, get some Fedex or DHL box and start making your own body kit.

“Back in the mid-90s, Florian Jenett wanted to go Can-Am racing. Never one to let obstacles dismay him, he ignored people that told him, “You can’t afford to go racing on a German artist’s salary” or “Can-Am racing died in 1974.”

The above Corolla E10 was complete with homemade K&N filter conversion (necessitating a hood bulge) and sans catalytic converter and it’s capable of reaching over 100mph - at which speed its handling became unpredictable.
